Facebook has recently released the ability to create a end of the Year post, I see many of my friends doing it and was wondering how to do it? The steps are pretty simple, just scroll to the bottom of a friends end year post and you will see a blue button to see your own...
A blog about all the technical stuff.. come along for the ride and you might learn a thing or two.

Request download of facebook account
Most people don't know that you can request a complete download of your facebook profile, I advise that you do this at least ounce a year specially if you have many pictures that you are afraid to loose and want to back up, the process is really simple:
You can download your information from your settings. To download your information:
- Click
at the top right of any Facebook page and select Settings - Click Download a copy of your Facebook data below your General Account Settings
- Click Start My Archive
Because this download contains your profile information, you should keep it secure and be careful when storing, sending or uploading it to any other services.

Facebook Password Hack
I wanted to write about this because I know a lot of people are concerned about this issue.
Can/How someone steal your Facebook Password ?
After all my research on this the answer is NO! they cannot unless you give it to them, email, fax, mail or they are looking over your shoulder. But they can go
THAT DOESN'T STOP THEM FROM GOING PHISHING FOR IT:
Now there is some trickery involved where they can have access. Facebook has worked really hard to prevent these things from happening so their security is pretty tight.
One way someone can get your password is by using a fake link also known as PHISHING basically you are typing your username and password into a website that looks like facebook.com but it really is now a PHISHING site and your hooked!, if you look in the address bar aka the URL at the top of your web browser, were you type http:// the link will show something suspicious witch does not end on facebook.com for example a fishing site would use something like facebook.gamesafer.com if you look at the link it doesn't have facebook.com.
Facebook tries to prevent you from clicking on links like this by warning you that you are leaving facebook.com However if the PHISHING spammer aka stalker sends a email message a link to you using another service facebook will not be able to warn you.
So when you type your user name and a password it fails and then you are redirected to the correct facebook.com site making it almost impossible for you to realize that you have now sent your password to someone.
things to look out for is the https:// and also the facebook.com in the URL and you should be safe.
Facebook also keeps your session open for about 15 minutes
and browsers also save your password this means the person will not know your password but they will have access to your account, so when your browser prompts you for "do you want explorer to remember password" keep in mind you have now saved it so anyone that goes online can also login.

Wordpress allowing users to comment, login and register with social media accounts.
I found another great Wordpress plugin!
I did some research one what plugin I should use to allow users to register and comment to my wordpress site using Facebook, LinkedIN, Windows Live and twitter.
The following plugin I found seems to meet all my needs and it's also a quick easy
Social Login
link to the plugin: http://www.oneall.com/
GOOD: Quick setup, connected to over 20+ social media sites, didn't get any errors with the installation to my wordpress directory website. http://georgiahealthcareprofessionals.com
BAD: when connecting the social media app to the API you have to use a sub-domain that is provided by oneall.com
- explained when the user connects to your site they are redirected to http://yourdomain.oneall.com then your app after they log in they are returned back to your site and you can choose what information you want the application to get access to.
The bad part about this that normally Facebook apps use http://yourdomain.com so you will need to create a new app or change the link to your current app which can brake any other plugins you might have that are using http://yourdomain.com
my recommendation is to create a new Facebook app instead of changing the link to your old one.
here is a screen print of how it looks on your blog or website:

Wordpress Plugin Add Link to Facebook
In my directory website http://georgiahealthcareprofessionals.com I added the following plugin "Add Link to Facebook" and it works great, it connects to the Facebook API and can post to the wall it also integrates any comments/posts that are made on facebook back to your site, you can download a copy of the plugin from the following website: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-link-to-facebook/
The two issue that I did find is that when doing a bulk import of data into my directory press website the plugin
causes the import to fail with a 404 error, I recommend the disabling the plugin prior to any large import of data.
The only other issue is that sometimes the API transaction fails however you are notified in the admin panel and an clear the error simply by updating the post/comment that was made using the wordpress admin panel
I gave this wordpress plugin 4 STARS
