How to remove the comments TEXT BOX from your WORDPRESS pages

ISSUE: When creating new pages in wordpress they show the following comments box. If you are like me you will not see any reason why someone would allow comments on a static wordpress page, here is what shows up at the bottom of all your wordpress pages:

SOLUTION:
1. Login to your wordpress site
2. go under PAGES > ALL PAGES
3. hover over or select all the pages you want to make the change to
4. click "Quick Edit"

5. unheck the box for "Allow comments"

Strange that this option is nowhere else in WordPress but here:

I hope this helps anyone that is having a problem locating that option. I had to search all over the place to find it.

Request download of facebook account

Most people don't know that you can request a complete download of your facebook profile, I advise that you do this at least ounce a year specially if you have many pictures that you are afraid to loose and want to back up, the process is really simple:

You can download your information from your settings. To download your information:
  1. Click  at the top right of any Facebook page and select Settings
  2. Click Download a copy of your Facebook data below your General Account Settings
  3. Click Start My Archive
Because this download contains your profile information, you should keep it secure and be careful when storing, sending or uploading it to any other services.

Why is googleads.g.doubleclick.net showing up in my adsense reports ?

I looked all over the internet to find a quick simple explanation for this. After reading a few google help documents and doing some research online, reading others experiences.

I found that, the reason for this is that "googleads.g.doubleclick.net"  to keep track of Adwords sites and Adsense click revenue google uses a system called Auto tagging, basically what it does it appends some text to the end of your URLs for tracking revenue and what users do on your site to determine the cost. When you bookmark pages it throws this information off as you are coming in from a URL that might have been previously generated. This is why you might see it in your adsense account. If you are using google adwords make sure not to link directly to the generated URL as it will provide google with the wrong tracking data = cost.

for more information on this topic I recommend reading: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1011829?hl=en

How to remove checkboxes from desktop icons

HERE IS THE QUICK FIX

Option 1: Go to START > in the search box type "folder options" select folder options go to the view tab and unchecked Use Check boxes to select items

Option 2: Go to Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Click Folder Options > Click View tab uncheck Use Check boxes to select items

ISSUE

for Windows 7 or Vista

I have had this question posed to me in many different ways:

- On my desktop, all of my icons have a little check box in the
upper-right hand corner, I find this irritating and was hoping I could remove
the check boxes from the icons.

- Check mark boxes next to desktop icons

- Upon start up today, I noticed check mark boxes next to my desktop icons and other folders. They pop up when I hover over the icon or folder.
